No guiding, manual dither every 15 minutes

Incredible,  such a great image and I love the colours,  nice but subtle.

Thanks. I did 4 hrs dual narrowband and about 30 minutes of RGB stars with the OSC camera

Split the Ha/Oiii in Siril, pixel math recombination, starnet separation, processed then added the RGB stars back in. I do like the Garnet star, went to a lot of effort to keep that in frame when manual dithering

It's amazing the difference processing can make. I'm a hack with Siril, but a friend is a wizard with pixinsight. Same stack after he had a quick run at it. 

Maybe I should get pixinsight... although I am put off by the curve and reported unintuitive nature..

Wow, what a difference! I liked the original, but the extra detail your friend has brought out is great, and it has a more dramatic and 3D feel to it.

I'm also a Siril user, and that's the same reason I'm put off by PI, but I intend to jump in at some point....it's yet another cost in the AP progression 🙄

Both renditions are valid and attractive as well as being a testament to the portable equipment being used.

Personally, I don't do much in Pixinsight and prefer the Photoshop environment by a mile.
