Beckenham / Bromley area astro groups?

Hello all, 

I'm finally back in the UK after 8 years away, now based in Beckenham.

Would love to find any local astro groups, or just other SGLers who might be round that way and want to meet up once in a while!

I lived in Beckenham for many many years and am a member of the Orpington Astronomical Society who meet in Petts Wood. They are quite active and have a regular influx of new members. Have a browse on their forum and introduce yourself.

Yup, l am a member if Orpington AS a very active and friendly group.  
 

HaHa just saw it was Duncan who posted before me.  Hi Duncan.  
just to add we have monthly observing sessions in Otford and occasional Deep Sky camps in East Sussex.

Thanks both! Great to know. I'll take a look at the AS site, but in general is it okay to just turn up and say hello?
