Getting my Canon 6D modified with the Baader Mod

 I know this might be a daft question but would I be able to take semi decent narrowband shots with this modification or would I have to get a  full spectrum mod?

You will get epic shots, full spectrum mod is not required for taking beautiful shots unless you want to shoot in UV.

You don't really need full spectrum mod for astro - here are a few taken with my standard astro modded 6d.  No filters on these.

Great camera for astro! Here's a few of mine from various scopes. 

North America Nebula taken with a Redcat (3 hours, Optolong L-Pro filter)

Orion with a 70mm quad refractor (5 hours, IDAS D2 LPS filter)

Wide field Heart and Soul with Samyang 135 (5 hours, Optolong L-Pro filter)

Heart and Soul with 71mm refractor (4 or 5 hours, IDAS NB2 duoband filter)

My 6D has only had the first IR filter removed. Still have the anti aliasing filter so some level of IR-UV protection is present. Even so, its great for nebulae.

+1. I have a 6d, and astro cameras (asi533, asi1600). I still use the 6d - full frame sensor, lovely no noise at 3200, great FOV with lenses. You just need first filter removed.

I particularily like using it for wide view Ha mono shots like this (using L-extreme):

Thanks for all great replies and information, I really appreciate  it, it has helped me make my mind up on which mod to get.. The images are something to aim for.
