imaging with barlows and cams

can anyone tell me if a 3X TAL barlow is any good optically for using with a web cam to get a good photo image ?

I did this with the Philips webcam, 8" explorer and TAL 3x barlow.

that`s amazing i`m hooked, i have a smaller skywatcher the 130p and the philips spc900nc, can you tell me what software you used to do this and how you do this !

First off, this was on a night of exceptional seeing (30-3-08) and everything just "came together".

I simply attached the webcam to the scopes' eyepiece holder using a 1.25" adapter (screwed into the webcam where the lens usually goes).

I used K3CCDTools to capture the avi (1500 frames) and Registax to align, stack and process the final image.

Thats a cracking image of Saturn Steve. I've also got the 8" explorer, and looking into getting a webcam so that I can try my hand at astrophotography.
