Can you put a make to this small eq mount?

Described as a ‘minigem’ equatorial…but can anyone put a make to this? Couldn’t find any information on the internet.

Hi Jeremy,

if only it was mine! I have just picked up an identical tube assembly a Japanese 60mm f15 by Circle T. I was looking on the internet for contemporary mounts and this photo came up. I thought it looked an ideal match and rather better than the EQ1 (ish) version the scopes seem to normally come with.

I will rig it up on my old Vixen SP to test the optics, all reports suggest they are quite good.

It may be an EQ3-class, and if those wooden legs are original to the mount-head, then I'd say it's of Japanese manufacture.  It could also be one of the very first Celestron CG-4 mounts, and made in China, or Taiwan.

In any event, that's not an up-close shot of the head, which makes it difficult to tell...

It looks very like the Bresser Astro-3, sometimes rated as "between an EQ2 and an EQ3"

The refractor does have the same colour as my Sears(Towa) 60mm f/11...

...and in obviously better condition than my own.
