Crab Nebula - maybe this year?

Every year I look for the crab nebula. Every year it's just buried in light pollution. I often wonder if I will ever see it 

I will try again this year of course. Maybe, just maybe it will pop out for me

That should not be too difficult with 10" scope.

How bad is your LP?

I've managed to detect it from red/white border (SQM 18.5) - with 8" scope. Just make sure it is positioned right and transparency is good.

Since we've had LED streetlights it's sort of a light grey colour.

I was one I searched for in vain for years from home, never did find it there. First night under a dark sky, with binos if I recall correctly, there it was, bold as brass!
