Prom exploding from the sun

You can see it on GONG looks like it came from the AR that's just round the limb.

I caught a "surge" just before 11am today that originated from the active area just beyond the limb.  It extended quite some distance at best and looked like the forked tongue of a snake.  My attention was raised on seeing a very bright point at this position, always something to keep an eye on as it is often the precursor of a dramatic event.     🙂

Peter, I did the drawing below using the PST between 8.50am and 9am.  Accounting for the different orientation of GONG and the PST, the proms I saw in the top right (SE Quad) might match the 'prom exploding from the sun'.  One of its elments had lifted off the surface.
