Need advice on purchasing first Refractor for Astro Photography

Recommended Posts

Hello, currently I have a 127 MAK that I use on my Nexstar Evolution mount. For visual I have a good selection of high quality eye pieces. However I want to start taking decent images using my Canon D450, have used my  MAK but it has its limits.

So with a budget of £500 I want to purchase a Refractor that I can mount on the evolution with wedge.  Any suggestion welcome either used or new. Many Thanks.

For that budget I suggest the Skywatcher ED80 DS Pro.

I agree.  Though I suggest stretching the budget to include a field flattener.  This will take the cost to nearer £700.
