Open Cluster Resource

Does anyone know a good open cluster resource? Most charts have them but aren't really specialised in that area and was wanting something a bit more detailed and involved.

Hmm, like what you mean? There is an exhaustive database of ~2000 OCs in existence. What else an observer might desire above that? The "Best 100 Review"?

Skysafari is pretty handy for this sort of thing. You can search by object type, size, brightness and also constellation, position in the sky and time, then you can make your own observing list which can be highlighted on the map.

This example is for OCs between 6 and 12th magnitude, above 30 degrees altitude and visible between 9pm and 12am tonight. I found this interesting as it highlights that the location of all the OCs in the Milky Way, which is obvious when you think about it! 🤪

I was thinking along the lines of the Webb Atlases (2 volumes) but not quite as in depth. They go really faint.

What sort of magnitude are you looking to get to Michael?

Down to around 13. I want to try for some of the more obscure ones. 
Maybe the Webb is the answer?

I have the OCL catalogue installed in CdC, but it doesn't show labels no matter what I do. See the pink circles - there's one to the right of Cor Caroli. Same with planetary nebulas - a couple here in Coma B go down to mag 16.

Globulars are labelled though, even NGC4147.
