Caught in a Trap

Whilst waiting for the moon to show above our roofline I pointed the Fullerscope at the trapezium to see which components I could pick up... seeing was poor despite a low jetstream speed being forecast on Windy.com. Lots of fast moving clouds about giving away some strong winds at low-mid levels.

Setup: 8.75" Fullerscope on EQ6, APM 2.7x barlow (f/20), Altair 290m, Baader L filter.

1st Image is a 'wide' full sensor shot of 50x1 second exposures at max gain.  I was pretty surprised at how much nebulosity I could see on the preview screen.  This is at 4m focal length and the view was moving all over the place on the screen (this old EQ6 hasn't got a chance in hell of holding the long sewerpipe steady).

2nd image is a much smaller ROI to capture just the cluster.  This is a stack of 100x380ms exposures at max gain. Visible components are labelled.
