Solar Images 23rd Jan - HA and Baader-Cak

Hi all, included in today is my first light with the baader CaK image's with the new 80ed and HA solar image from today with the Lunt 60mm DS.   80ed plus Baader Double Stack CaK filter for CaK images (Purple/Blue). Both Zwo Asi 178mm. Colour added in PS CS2. Stacked in Autostakker3 and sharpened in ImPPG. Pic of the new Baader-Cak 80ed added for reference.

Thanks Jeremy, yeah, first light with the 80ed Cak after awful weather since the new year. Promising results today. I really like the CaK images, gives another flavour to our star.

Just processed a FD of the Baader-Cak image, had to use a 0.5 reducer to get a full disk on the 80ed.

Excellent images! It was just like being there.
Now we know what it is supposed to look like.

I've just had a few minutes imaging for the first time in weeks.
29F, cloud, dewed objective and a low sun made contrast non-existent.
