What to image tonight?

Typically its clear up here in Scotland and the moon is up, is it worth imaging anything, even in narrowband?

I'm up in the north east of Scotland and I'm currently imaging the Soul nebula with a Baader 7nm Ha. I have to admit I don't think the subs are looking that great... 

Glad I didn't go for the flaming star which is about 40degrees from moon!

Any clear night is a good night 😅

It ended up being a typical incorrect forecast, post 8pm-ish was totally clouded out 🙄

I tried the Elephants Trunk, M33 and settled on the Pelican. As it turned out, by the time I'd messed about with the other two, I only managed 25x 120s subs on the Pelican so there's a lot of noise but at least I got something to play with before the clouds rolled back in for another month or so.

I am going for the Crescent with an Optolong L-eNhance filter. Subs don't look too bad. Might try the Crab when the Crescent is too low, but the Crab might be too close to the moon.

Lovely gradient from the couple of hours I did get on Saturday 🙂  A very quick and dirty DBE in PI handled it well as it seemed a nice, simple gradient.
