Chromatic aberration and aperture

Is the severity of chromatic aberration linked to aperture?

It is to some extent but more so to focal ratio, lens complexity and glass types.  As the lens gets larger these factors increase in importance.       🙂

CA is more related to the focal length of an achromatic refractor. although it costs more to produce a decent objective as you get bigger in sperture so in a way aperture can play a part.
