Cygnus OSC results.... Lighter nights....

Morning all,

There  are a lot of swings or roundabouts in my astro-photography.  Deep Sky or  Solar System?   Mono or OSC ?  Short or long FL ?

Then there is the latitude issue.  Up here in Northern England there is no longer any true astronomical dark until the far side of July, so the decision dilemma starts to kick in ...

but  Hey !!  lets not allow that to get in the way...

When the opportunity arises, just get stuck in and see what happens !!!!   OSC it is then .

These two shots were taken over the last couple of nights.   The original 30 x 5min subs had to be edited down to 12 due to the  receding dusk/impending dawn   washing out the images.

Both were taken with a 6"F4 Newtonian  QHY8pro OSC with the Optolong  L-Enhance filter.   NGC 7000 on the left, NGC 6992 on the right.

Looks like we have some clear weather ahead as well.    All sky OSC mosaic anyone ??

Sean.

Great images! For sure Astro dark is needed for optimum results, but as your images show, it’s still worth making use of a summer clear sky, even from North Yorkshire’s latitude.
