Black rings for the TAL Alkor

I noticed in a picture the other day that the rings on my TAL Alkor were a little rusty and decided to sort them out. They are only Munsen rings which I found to fit the scope so I could use it on different mounts. I had packed them out with corrugated cardboard which was a bit battered, so did a proper job spraying the rings black and then fitting some proper foam and felt to get them snug. Quite happy with how it looks and grips now. Somehow the cast iron look of the rings suits the tank barrel build of the scope! First shot is before starting!

Oh, and before you ask, yes I did use superglue (rightly or wrongly) and yes I did nearly stick my fingers together! 🤣🤣

Very smart. Could do with some slightly longer bolts though by the looks Stu? or thinner washers 😉
