That looks about right, pretty much the same FOV I get with my 550D + 200P.

I found it was a real pain to find the focus position the first time on stars at night. A good advise is to aim at something distant during daytime to get the focus in the ballpark.

Thanks everybody, it worked. Had to wait a while to get a gap in the cloud but i can acheive prime focus as long as no extension tubes are on the focusser.

These are just two single exposures on an unguided eq5, but it proves it works and I am happy 😁

I was gonna look at stacking etc etc but not sure I will bother, I like these basic snaps.
