Venus evenings.

Here are a few observations of Venus from over the last few evenings. All were made with a bright background sky.

I have a small selection of filters but I rarely use them. All six of the above sketches were made without the use of any filter. I should have noted that on the sketches but forgot. ☺

Very nice work Mike. As the disk has shrunk I have been finding it more difficult to see and fine details.

Excellent  sketches Mike, as per usual. 

I was observing Venus myself only a few hours ago in the evening twilight, with my 130 mm APO. Your representations are very similar to my own visual experience. However, I struggle to record the subtle markings, the biggest problem are the floaters in my own eye. Your eyesight is obviously much better than mine.  Good work.   Chris.
