Here is an image taken with a standard Nikon DSLR. 2rs of 4 min subs with ED80 Pro, dark subtracted only.

I struggled a lot with light pollution removal during processing.

Some fine detail in that Peter. Looks great for only 2 hrs. Regarding the removal of light pollution i think this image would benefit from scnr green or hlvg. You could even try reducing the green channel in levels.

I think scnr green and Hlvg might be Pixinsight acronyms, I’m not sure as I don’t have it?

Hi. I mean the image has too much green in it. Whatever program you use for processing you should be able to adjust the colour balance. Scnr is a Pixinsight action and Hlvg is a plugin for Photoshop.

I was wanting to try this but I cannot seem to add it to plug-ins in ps6.

@astroman001 Hi Peter, I ran it through HLVG in PS as per Richards recommendation, and balanced the background with GradXterminator.
