A friend had sent me these images. The object wasn't moving, and claims it produced bright flashes. The images were taken with a phone (unfortunately) on the 5th and 6th of January. Perhaps some of you might have a logical answer. He says he doesn't believe it's a UFO (otherwise I probably wouldn't be friends with him anymore), so I doubt it's fabricated.

 

edit: I should also note that this was taken in Serbia, Kovin, around 1AM.

With low quality indistinct wobbly pictures and a somewhat vague description it is impossible to draw any sensible conclusion as to what your friend saw or thinks he/she saw.

Without knowing the time, location and the direction the photograph was taken it is not possible to determine the identity of the object.

You're right. I should have given more information. It was taken in Serbia, Kovin, around 1AM.

Due south around about that time is the star Sirius. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky (mag -1.46) and appears to flash (twinkle) in different colours
