Dslr to skywatcher ED80pro

Hi all :wave:

I want to put my DSLR onto my recently aquired ED80Pro at prime focus.

I have the T mount for the slr and 1.25" nose.

For prime focus, do I connect the camer with T mount to the adaptor that comes with the ED80 then straight into the focuser without the diaganal?

Or do I use the nose bit on Tmount into the diagonal?

Which will give me the widest feild of view?

Oh, also, wherabouts would I expect the focus point to be?

Focuser racked in close or quite far out ?

Without the diagonal, straight into the focuser. You may get vignetting with the 1.25" nosepiece.

I agree with Russ.

Use a T mount to 2" adapter, then you'll be fine.

My focuser has a scale 0 - 9, focus with the 300D is at 7.1.

It will be different for you, but start with the focuser wound all the way out and slow turn inwards. (I think the focus point will be nearer fully out than fully in).
