Entertaining and informative video Chris, you’re getting very good at this! 🙂  Seems like the tripod has been improved from the old SLT which was one of the weak points I gather so that’s good news. Shame about the Wi-Fi problems though. Looking forward to seeing how it performs under the stars.  I’d also be interested to know whether you feel the Celestron sky portal app has enough objects in it.

Ah thank you very much Rob Yeah, I had an SLT 130 for a short time and the tripod flexed like crazy. The Astro Fi is  solid by comparison which is great to see. I was really worried when my phone wouldn't connect but my tabled has no problem. I've got an Amazon Fire for the kids so I'll also try that. Really looking forward to trying to get it aligned and using the tablet for goto. I'm expecting problems but really hoping it will buck the trend and keep connection. We'll see
