NEQ5 - EQ5 mount

Hi guys , i recently bought a NEQ5 Mount for my sky-watcher st 120 telescope from astroshop.eu .

i have received the Mount ,an it seems like a great Mount , but both the Mount and the carboard Box is marked  EQ5 and Not NEQ5.

Does this matter ? i think i read somwhere that the New EQ5 (NEQ5) had greeen anodizing(mine is ) ,but not sure here.

Looks the same though.

The two mounts are the same. The name NEQ5 was used for a while to differentiate it from the old EQ5.

There are several iterations of EQ mount "in the wild".

There was black version

Then there was, regular white "new" EQ5 - often called "N"EQ5 because of this

But it's really the same thing with few things changed like ALT adjustment bolts. Some versions came with aluminum tripod, and some with steel.

You have the latest iteration, one with "green" bits. It is the same mount really, so don't worry about N missing on the package.

I appreciate this brief history of a mount that I've had only a short time, but which has left me no doubt up to now that I made a wise enough choice for me.
