Widefield Cygnus

Recommended Posts

Saturday was a very, very busy and fruitful night for me in terms of astrophotography. I captured a lot of things and here's one more of them.

Widefield Cygnus shot with my Canon 600D and the 50mm f1.8 lens stopped at f4 on the eq3 pro mount and guided with a qhy5 on a 9x50 finder-guider.

10x600sec ISO800 exposures stacked in DSS and processed in photoshop.
I love this one too. ?838612138_WidefielsCygnus50mm-Ps.thumb.jpg.b280bc2f904ec509080319bbdaf55bde.jpg

That’s a wonderful image Emil. How did you avoid over exposing the bright stars with 10 minute exposures?

I didn't even think about it to be honest. Over exposing the bright stars was the last thing on my mind. I had a flood light shining directly towards the lens and looking at the subs I never thought I could recover anything but GradX and AstroFlat Pro did a wonderful job.
