Museum of Moon

Peterborough Cathedral

Something you wouldn’t expect at a cathedral but worth a look you’re in the area.

Vivacity presents Museum of the Moon, a visually stunning installation by artist Luke Jurram. The moon, measuring seven metres in diameter and featuring 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface, will be suspended in the magnificent space of Peterborough Cathedral.

Thanks for the info John.

I saw that moon model at Tintern Abbey earlier in the year.  It was impressive in the daylight, but will probably even more so in the dark of the cathedral.

The Cathedral also has  a Soyuz capsule on display as well at present (the one Tim Peake flew in), so definitely worth a look., being as I work just a couple of miles outside P'boro!

Cheers,

Jon
