this is my image of M31 using an un modded Canon 1100d and a william optics gt 81, about 100 x 1 minute subs, trying to keep down the light pollution, 14 x darks, 21 flats and 21 bias frames, processed in Startools and tweeked in photoshop cs3.

Looks like nice data. I like wide field shots of M31 and it's nicely framed. Was that taken through camera lens or telescope? Just wondered why you took one minute rather than longer subs. Light pollution?

To my taste as seen in my iPad it's too saturated. The stars are too yellow and parts of the galaxy too blue. Is the background clipped a bit too?

taken with my unmodded Canon 1100D attached to a william optics gt81, used 1 minute subs as it`s fairly light polluted round here

OK.

Interestingly now I look at the images you've now posted, the screen shot of M31 in the PS window looks a better colour saturation than the original tif file did, as it appears on my iPad anyway. I assume that is a jpg image. The picture above it looks over saturated to me. Is that a jpg/png?  Which to your eye looks the closest to what you see on your computer?
