why I like starhopping...

well, I was looking for M52 on Wednesday night (which was exceptionally clear) which for some reason I find hard to find. I happened to come across a tiny but quite bright open cluster which looked a bit like a mini wild ducks (perhaps the wild ducklings?); I checked my star atlas and it was either Markarian50 or ngc 7510 - I suspect the latter as it's a little brighter.

Anyway, going out for another go at M52 and M110 after Corry... (if it's still clear)

Yes! I just stumbled over Open Cluster NGC 1647 in Taurus ( 45.0'x 45.0' ) mag 6.40, near Aldebaran, while looking for the Crab.
