Hello,

So i have sent some phd2 graphs over to the PHD2 chaps - and the long and short if it it that my DEC is great when the scope is on the East side of the pier, but rubbish on the West. It looks like stiction and backlash on the West. 

I am not sure what to conclude here. Does it mean the  internals of the mount or fine or not ? - not sure what i can or cant rule out - cable drag or balance for example ?

Hi

A balance issue or cone error seem the most likely sources of problems. Maybe you could share your guide graphs? Do you have Rowan belt mod - that requires perfect balance.

It is a Rowan Mod. I think you are right this probably is a balance question. I will see if I can get those graphs up.
