fozzybear
tried this in the microscopy section no replies so thought I would try it here. was given the head unit for a bresser microscope which consists of camera lcd display in plastic surround and the connector is just 2 wires black and red so what would the voltage be googled but found nothing, the display incorporates a usb/ sd card input also so maybe 5v I do not know anyone care to help maybe useful for astro cheers and thanks for looking andy
Thalestris24
Don't know, I'm afraid, but 5V is the most likely and probably wouldn't harm to try. Good luck Louise
symmetal
5V and 12V are by far the most common voltages used (unless it's a laptop) so try 5V as Louise says and if nothing happens, cross your fingers and try 12V. ? Alan
fozzybear
well will give 5v a go at the weekend got nothing to loose as was given to me I don't even know if it works as well. cheers Andy

Alien 13
Most microscope sensors wont have a lens fitted so I expect this will be similar, try it with a lens/magnifying glass to see if it focuses. Alan

symmetal
Glad you got it working OK. It looks like there's just a filter mounted in front the sensor so yes, a lens is required. Alan
fozzybear
looks like time to dismantle the devil and get rid of the plastic shroud to expose the sensor then play around with the distance to achieve focus then print something to hold the whole unit together, It can record video and also jpg images so has onboard memory. maybe use with finderscope for finding objects? watch this space

What's the maximum exposure duration it allows you to have? Microscope subjects are usually well lit so it may not be able to expose for 1 second or more.
