iridescent clouds

This evening i saw the most amazing display of iridescent clouds. Mother of Pearl, is a very apt name. It was stunning. Unfortunately, my phone battery was dead, so no pics. It was only the 2nd time in my life that ive seen them. There was a spectacular display a couple of yrs ago at about 9am.

Sounds amazing! i personally have never seen any episodes of cloud irisation that i can remember, maybe i should pay more attention.

I've seen iridescent clouds twice in my lifetime. Both times at the same music festival but a year apart.  I'd blame it on the cider, but they were seen by others in my group. Then again, we were all on the same cider.
