SW ED100 on SW AZ-GTi

Anybody using this setup on the standard AZ-GTi tripod?

I think the weight should be OK, but what about the long tube torque effect?

Hmm, I think much depends on what you are hanging off the focuser, a light ortho and 1.25" diagonal or 2" with heavy eyepiece, or even binoviewers.

I use a 4" Tak with binoviewers and often a chunky Herschel Wedge on my AZGTi, so lighter and shorter OTA and I think you may find you need to upgrade the tripod, I did straight away.

I use a 100ED, 2" diagonal and Baader Zoom on mine but I use it attached to  a Berlebach Uni 18. The mount handles that OK but the Starwave 102 f11 was under mounted on the same setup.

Not sure about the original tripod though.
