Planetarium light Ceiling for Astro Van

Hey Folks it's been awhile since i last posted.  This is a project that I've had in the grey matter for some time and finally made it happen.

Check it out. Planetarium Star light Ceiling. All year round northern hemisphere constellations visible from UK.

485 Stars with 3 brightnesses to roughly represent the stars magnitude.

Location of all 110 Messier Objects and a few extra favourite objects .  Blue for open clusters, Orange for globular clusters, Green for Nebulae and Red for Galaxies.

Each has controls for on/off and brightness.

It's not mega accurate but it's all there.  it took about 2 weeks to build.

I wanted to somehow represent the Milky Way but instead most of the open clusters and nebulae reside in the milky way so when they are turned on  it kinda makes up for it.

Im well chuffed with how it turned out and it is a great aid to gazing when i'm parked up with my big 20” Dob. just got to figure out how to put the Planets, Sun and moon in there now.
