Quark problem...oh dear.

Recommended Posts

Having taken a backward step and gone from a Lunt LS60 to a Quark chromosphere with Altair Astro ED 60 F6 and a televue 32mm Plössl I am having terrible problems. I cannot for the life of me focus the disc sharply...it seems to rack out and is still a blurry disc. Could this be a faulty Quark??

If is it outward travel you are running out of you can simply add an extension before the diagonal. If it is inward travel then that is more of a problem.

Given that the Quack has a x4.2 Barlow built in it is almost certainly outwards focus that is lacking, ie you need an extension tube. As suggested, try holding the eyepiece above the Quack until you see how much you need.
