My instinct on the early versions would be use Ps Selective Colour to drop the cyans in red (top slider to the left) and slightly lower the greens in Levels. Your sharpening has worked well. In places it could take a bit more, I think. I always do it as a bottom layer and erase the top layer very selectively where the bottom is better.
