Budget solar imaging kit - chips & wedges

Intending to buy either a 1.25 or 2 inch Hershel Wedge later, I really just want to take snap shots, avoiding tracking, of the sun. 

As this is new to me, and I don't want to cook expensive chips(!), what is the minimum to take colour photos of solar prominences & surface detail recommended. I would rather have a good wedge as the quality bit so visual would be good too.

It's my understanding that the wedges are for white light solar imaging. For proms etc you'll need to be imaging in solar Ha, which isn't the same ( much MUCH narrower bandpass) as DSO Ha

You will need a dedicated solar Ha scope or a Quark.

HW are white light only.
