NGC4319 and Markarian 205

NGC 4319 and Markarian 205 about which there was some controversy. 

The galaxy is 77 million light years away but the red shift of the quasar Markarian 205 (usually classified as a Seyfert galaxy) puts it at 1 billion light years distance.

30 bias

Lovely pair of galaxies. I viewed these years ago but I did not know about the quasar. Thanks for sharing your image.

Great image I would not have appreciated that Mark 205 was a quasar.
