QHY- Polemaster freezing

Hi

Has anyone had this issue with polemaster? 

Now and again the image on the laptop "freezes" ie stars dont move when the scope is slewing around its 30 degrees. If i am lucky then the image catches up.

Also sometimes the green circle stays on the screen when the scope is re-parked. 

Then i uninstall and re-install polemaster and

then works fine? Wasting precious time for imaging! 

Any ideas what issue could be? I am running on windows10

I'e had it a couple of times where there's no green square to overlay the red..when you're turning the mount on its axis the stars should freeze and you can re use the axis point as if you're using the same mount the axis circle will be the same..i.much prefer sharcap myself..

Try deleting the ini file , go into the pole master folder you will see a file that’s a ini file delete , camera will make a new one on booting up

Never tried sharpcap like myself i like the simplicity of polemaster, then using background EOS.

Have had similar issues on a QHY guide camera, it tends to result from the USB dropping out for a fraction of a second.  They dont like glitchy connections. Solved with a new cable.

Cool will try that Adam. How long did you have yours before it started mis-behaving?

It's second hand maybe 4 years old. It fine now with the new cable. So would not say miss behaving exactly.
