phd2 side real/guide speed setting

Hi just checking my settings in PhD2 and just wondered what the above setting should be when using a heq 5 mount thanks

Hi

How are you connecting to the mount?

If you were connected -e.g. via eqascom- when you setup the PHD2 profile, PHD2 will have copied whatever was set in the mount. The PHD2 gurus recommend at least 0.5 sidereal for guiding.

If you change it, don't forget to re-calibrate. HTH.

Yes through eqascom via serial adapter

OK. Set the guide speed to 0.9. PHD2 should pick it up when you go to calibrate but no harm in making sure yourself; guiding tab on the brain > calculate. HTH

Choose a star and tap the guide icon. It's what PHD2 does to know which way to move the mount. 

You can force a calibration if e.g. you rotate the guide camera: hold shift and tap the guide icon.

Unless it' calibrated it won't guide..

If you look bottom far right it should have a green circle and "calibrate "  and if it's red it isnt..
