If I find that an obstacle (tree etc) will obscure my view through my telescope whilst slewing to an object, can I stop/cancel the goto function in mid slew? At present if I find the target object might be obscured I have to input another target; I would rather cancel and have time to think about my next target.

What button do I press to stop the slew on my Celestron CPC800 hand controller?

I don't know about Celestron, but on my Skywatcher handset it would be escape, do you have a button for undo or something?

Found this on the web. With a Celestron, hit any direction button to stop a slew in progress, then hit Undo. Or hit Undo once a slew has finished.

Not tried it myself on my goto, however I mostly have connection via Skysafari to my mount, which gives me the option to,stop any slew off the application itself.
