Modded DSLR or Not ?

Hi all

Think this is my first visit into solar imaging part of SGL?

I'm planning on imaging the sun with a baader film filter fitted in front of a zoom lens and wondered what the feeling was on modded DSLRs

I have a modded (baader filter replacement) EOS 600D but also have an unmodded EOS 70D to choose from.

Am I gaining anything from going with the modded camera ?

Probably not as film blocks all the HA wavelength.

Sorry, WL = solar white light as done with film or a wedge.

Our astronomy club has a competition to image ISS transit on 18th

So I'm going to give it a shot (weather permitting)

Hopefully the weather is kind. There was a transit very close to me yesterday, but the weather was YUK!
