Moon by Gaslight

good morning to you all, and a happy new year/

well i took the attached picture back in december, at a place called ashton court, on the outskirts of bristol. dotted around the estate are these beautiful streetlamps, and i wondered if, during one of my dog walks, i could get a pic with the moon included in the final image. because the lamp is the dominent feature, i chose to throw it out of focus, with moon being pin sharp. the image was taken just after sunset, with my canon 40d fitted with a sigma 120-400mm lens.

those of you with good memories might remember that i posted a similar picture a couple of years a go, but i was wondering if you could please give me your comments as to what you think about this, my most recent effort. i dont mind if the comments are good or bad.

I rather like it, I like the way the Moon seems to be in front of the lamp, which of course it's not, I understand why it comes out like this.

Very clever method of getting the Moon to look as if it is in front of the lamp.
