First Ha Image - California Nebula as HaRGB

1.25" Ha filter (12nm) arrived and screwed onto the coma corrector. 9 subs @ 960 secs used as luminance on RGB image taken a few days ago. Below are 2 images : HaRGB and original RGB (blurred a bit as it was noisy).

Nice.. the HaRGB image seems to have less stars and looks cleaner.

Very good.     I always want to orientate the diffraction spikes to an up-down alignment...even at the expense of cropping the nebula..... Eek...is that sacrilege !!!

Well done Bob, looks lovely, the Ha RGB looks very nice, quite a bit more Ha showing, would be good in a 2 panel mosaic  

 I might try this DSO tonight although I'm keen to try the Monkey head nebula in Ha. So many targets to choose from.
