I've just noticed that there is a new synscan app available as of yesterday called synscan pro. The extra functionality is for equatorial use but hopefully the star database has been improved as well. There is also a new version 1.0 of the standard synscan.

Can you do a daytime align using this?  I can only see the normal star align or level and north (would seem to be an omission given the handsets now have this extremely useful functionality!)
