Veil and M31 at 135mm with 100D

This is from a few nights ago. Both images shot with a Canon modded 100D, 70-300L zoom at 135mm. LP filter. tracked, not guided, 4 min subs. The Veil had 31 subs and M31 15 Subs. Stacked in DSS and processed in PS.

Lovely images Stargeezer. :icon_salut:

I've been toying with the idea of getting a 135mm lens for a while now, as I figured it'd make for some really interesting framing of certain objects - your rather spectacular confirmation of this might see my bank balance taking a hit in the next few days! :D

Very nice indeed.  What have you got in mind to target next?

Thanks Tim, I was looking at it to see if its possible to enter co-ordinates into synscan and had concluded it couldn't be done. But I just had a lightbulb moment and it looks i can create a user defined object and put the co-ordinates in. Flying Bat here i come!
