Focus issues with T ring and adaptor

I had first light tonight with my Sony alpha 350 attached to my SW Explorer 150P by way of T ring and adaptor.

On first set up I found that I was unable to achieve focus with the camera attached directly to the focuser (1.25"). I had to utilise the scopes stock X2 Barow to achieve focus. Is this a common thing?

The 150P DS has the mirror moved up the tube to eliminate this problem, it may be possible to do this yourself, it may also help if the use a 2" T adapter.

If you unscrew the 1.25" adaptor from the eyepiece holder you will see a t thread. Attach the t-ring directly to that and then attact the camera. You should then be able to focu.
