Antares & Rho Oph Region from Mount Teide

I'm a recent convert to PixInsight and having learned some new processing techniques from this forum and the online guides I've finally obtained a result that I'm happy with...

This is a view of the Antares & Rho Ophiuchi Region captured during a trip to Tenerife in Aug 2015. It's a stack of 41 x 120s subs taken using a modded Canon 40D on a Tak FS60CB reduced to f4.2.

Untypically, conditions were very poor (3 nights of cloud and rain!) over the Perseid meteor shower window and on the final night clear skies were spoiled by Saharan sand/dust at lower altitudes. A worthwhile trip in the end though

Nice shot... captured a lot of gas and dust... as a fellow astro modded Canon 40D user, I like seeing great results with a 40D.

Did you drizzle your subs?

thanks Mars, I really like my 40D - just wish it had a flip screen.

I've not tried drizzling, I'm still learning the capabilities of PI. What are the advantages?
