Recommended targets for testing out Skymaster 15x70 bins

I have just taken delivery of a pair of Celestron Skymaster 15x70 bins and would like to test them out tonight if posisble.

My question is what would be a good test for these bins and what will enable me to assess their quality.

I usually use an 8" newtonian so not sure on the best objects for bins testing.

Open clusters are a good test, they'll give you some idea how good the binos are at the edge of FOV.

I had the best view ever of the Pleades with my Skymasters.

Double cluster is pretty impressive in my Revelation 15x70. Also find they excel on objects like M33 with low surface brightness. Another surprise are globular clusters.

I think you'll be very pleased with your new purchase. I haven't used my 10x50 in over a year. Just love the views in the 15x70. Now the Revelation 20x80 are tempting.
