Hello I recently lost an alu case with atik 314l mono/ lrgb filters/wheel and qhy guider cam and 9x50 finder., gutted doesn't cover it, nevermind ???

So im forced to upgrade, I'm just wondering has colour ccds come on in the past 3 years. Would like a larger chip but seriously thinking about a one shot colour.(I did love my 314L )  I do like atiks capture software. Any advice will help.

Cheers

Wow I am tempted to ask how but Ill not force you to re-live the pain.

I would have a serious think about something like a ASI071 or QHY168

If you have a good sized budget the QHY367c is looking great. Personally I would go with a CMOS over a CCD for color as the smaller pixels mean that you will get a better sampling if you wanted to try Ha-RGB imaging. But then again maybe if you have that kind of cash a mono CCD would be the best option.
