Sob Sob I'm no longer a UK resident....the Leo Triplet was the last DSO I image before moving to Abu Dhabi (aka the desert) last February.

Image from 300x45s exposures at ISO800. Taken using Canon 350D on the WO66 on Nexstar6SE mount.

These are great shots.

Really shows the galaxies in their natural surroundings.

I bet those skies out in the desert will be awesome.

Thanks fellas. The truth is I miss a lot of things about the UK. Buying astro stuff over the internet, the orange skyglow of London to name a few. Haven't got a chance to venture out to the desert at night, need a car first. Just got my local driving license last month
