Observing chair plans

I'm after plans for an observing chair/stool.

You know the ones you can adjust to lots of different positions.

My carpentry skills are reasonable and I have the normal tools such as drill, jigsaw, circular saw.

Any ideas.

If I remember correctly, there is a Yahoo group dedicated to observing chairs. Its a distant memory so I could be wrong, but worth a look.

If you are contemplating an observing chair, then you are observing naked eye, and or binoculars.

Have a look at Astroman's website. He has been reconstructing/modifying a bino chair, and I think it is featured on his site. He may offer you some advice if you contact him. I know he has been very busy of late though.

Have you considered an ironing chair for observing? They have a number of different heights and come up from time to time in Lidl for £15 - a bargain. That's what I use and I love it!

Works for me I think mine (Vileda) came from Lidls too.
