SKYWATCHER EQ5 HANDSET

Hi, Anyone know if the Skywatcher Eq5  Synscan Handset (current version) would work with a NEQ6 Mount. It looks the same, but tongue in cheek about trying not wanting to damage anything. If so, I will keep my EQ5  Handset as a spare....Dave

Yes it will work with the NEQ6 Synscan mount, all the Synscan mounts use the same handset. All that is required is the correct handset to mount cable (the EQ6/NEQ6 uses a different cable to the EQ3/5/HEQ5 Synscan mounts)

As long as it has fairly modern firmware on it it will work on any Skywatcher mount.

Good point. A v3 or v4 handset will work with any Synscan mount with the latest unified firmware, v2 handsets will only work with Synscan EQ3/5/E/NEQ6 mounts.
